Meet Mrs. Lori Maroe.
Mrs. Maroe has been teaching since 1992. She joined the Meadows Valley teaching
staff in the spring of 2009 as the Spanish teacher. This school year, she will be teaching Spanish and the English as a Second
Language program at Meadows Valley. She grew up in Ontario, Oregon and in Orange County, California. She has traveled to or lived in Spain,
France, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Puerto
Rico.
Mrs. Maroe graduated from Tustin High School, in Tustin, California. She earned an Associate of Arts degree from Treasure Valley Community College in
Ontario, Oregon. She earned her Bachelors of Arts and Masters degrees from Western Oregon University in Monmouth, Oregon and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Her teaching endorsements are
in Spanish, English as a Second Language, reading and middle school math. When she was in school she enjoyed Spanish, History
and English classes the most and participated on the swim
team and in band. Mrs. Maroe has three children who attend Meadows
Valley School. Her favorite books are Francine
Rivers' the Mark of the Lion trilogy.
Mrs. Maroe’s hobbies include mountain biking, skiing, traveling, SCUBA diving,
reading, and horseback riding.
Her favorite quote is by Andre Gide… “Complete possession is proved only by giving. All you are unable
to give possesses you.” Mrs. Maroe is looking forward to another exciting year of teaching at Meadows Valley School!
