Dear Parents, Horticulture is my favorite class. I have a passion for gardening
and love sharing that passion with students. Besides learning the science of plants, we have lots of fun hands-on projects
such as creating floral designs, and Bonsai trees, and making wreaths, stepping stones and hypertufa pots, to name a few.
In yearbook, students take pictures, and design all the pages. We
produce the entire book in-house, and even design the artwork for the cover. It makes a really fun record of the year’s
activities that the students are excited to see each Spring.
In my spare time, I enjoy quilting, reading, gardening, and
hiking. I am a member of the Council Mountain Quilt Guild, the McCall Hiking Club, and I have been a Master Gardener
for Valley and Adams Counties since 1999. In 2010, I received my Master Naturalist certificate and completed my volunteer
hours this summer by working at the Snowdon Wildlife Rehabilitation Education Center. I recently earned my fourth 100-mile
pin from the hiking club. My favorite hike this past summer was hiking to the overlook of Maloney Lake. I am so lucky
to live here!! I recently joined the High Mountain Nordic Walking Club so I have no excuses not to get out and enjoy the beauty
of this country!
