This is Meghan Howard's 7th year teaching 6th grade, and her 9th at Meadows Valley.
Meghan grew up in Boise and graduated from Boise High before attending The College of Idaho and earning her Bachelor
of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. She immediately moved to Portland, OR where she spent 3 years before moving
to Evansville, IN. While in Indiana, she attended The University of Southern Indiana to work towards her Secondary Education
degree in Biology. While taking classes, she had an opportunity to move to Andros Island in the Bahamas to teach at
an Education Research Station, which she took!
While on Andros, Meghan taught Natural Science classes in Marine
Ecology, as well at Bahamian History classes. She worked as Head Dive master on staff, and had an awesome time in general.
In 1998, Meghan returned to Idaho where she substitute taught at many schools, including her alma mater, before teaching
for a year at Eagle Academy High School. She then took off again to explore Baja Mexico, conduct bat research in New
Mexico, and then to finally move to McCall with her soon-to-be husband, Keith.
Before landing at Meadows Valley
School, she taught snowboarding at Brundage and conducted Wildlife surveys on the PNF.
Meghan has two
young children. In her "free" time she loves to read, and between injuries, she runs, snowboards, and mountain
bikes.
